Iceland

The University of Iceland (UI) is the leading institution of research and higher education in Iceland; it is a progressive educational and scientific institution, renowned for research in the global scientific community. UI is a state university, situated in the heart of Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland. A modern, diversified, and rapidly developing institution, the UI offers opportunities for study and research in 400 programs, spanning most fields of science and scholarship. The School of Education at the UI educates teachers for preschools, primary schools, and upper secondary schools, sports and health sciences, social educators, and leisure professionals. All academic programmes at the School of Education are strongly linked to the workplaces of those professions the school educates, such as schools and other societal institutions. The programmes provide a wide range of professional options and serve as a good foundation for further studies. The UI also hosts vibrant exchange student programmes.

Spain

Valnalon is an agency of the regional government of Asturias (Spain). As a matter of fact, Valnalon is strategically located in Langreo occupying the premises of an old steel factory. Far from coincidental, this location conveys a clear message about Valnalon’s mission, to act as a catalyst, to facilitate a somewhat difficult transition of a former industrial region with an economy largely based in coal and steel into a new economic model. Valnalon has the mandate to put into practice the ideas exposed in the Asturias Regional Action Plan for Entrepreneurship in two key areas: Business start-up support and Entrepreneurship Education. Ever since its inception Valnalon has been providing business start-up advice, training and support to budding entrepreneurs helping them to create hundreds of new companies. At the same time, Valnalon has earned an excellent reputation due to its pioneering role in the promotion of cooperative entrepreneurship in the education system. Valnalon plays a brokering role bringing together decision-makers, practitioners, and other social agents such as employers and third sector organisations to design and implement a coherent portfolio of innovative education projects in primary, secondary and VET.

Belgium

Bantani Education is a non-profit based in Belgium, working collaboratively to drive entrepreneurial and creative learning. By bringing together extensive policy and practical experience, working with public, community and private sector partners to embed entrepreneurial skills into all type of learning. The co-founders and network of associates, working from across Europe work to build collaborations and initiatives involving policy makers, educators, community and the private sector, to embed high quality entrepreneurial and creative learning practice and policy into formal and non-formal learning.

Greece

STIMMULI is a non-profit organisation working on projects focused on social impact envisioning to inspire future education and ignite positive change in society. To achieve our mission, we design and deliver educational and empowerment projects that cultivate changemaking attitudes, inject entrepreneurial thinking and nudge behavioural shifts for more sustainable lifestyles. STIMMULI bears extensive experience in different fields of activity, including that of Social Innovation Education, Entrepreneurship Education, Active Citizenship Education and Inclusive Education and sustainable development whereby new approaches and effective practices and tools are being developed and designed. Our work aims at harnessing the power of collaboration between universities, non-profits, social enterprises, businesses and governments, to address pressing societal challenges more effectively and on a wider scale.
